At the well-appointed Trogon House & Forest Spa, guests are welcome to relax in exquisite luxury suspended in the tree tops of their own indigenous forest reserve stretching untamed to the Tsitsikamma mountains and beyond at South Africa's beautiful Garden Route. The Trogon House is available for one client at a time accommodating a maximum of 8 persons per night at either the Malabar or the Tomba Lodge.

The welcoming Trogon House & Forest Spa is situated a 20 minutes drive away from Plettenberg Bay, Garden Route, Western Cape, South Africa. This unique boutique hotel is an exclusive tree-top lodge, offering maximum privacy and luxury accommodation to its guests.

The main lodge at the Trogon House consists of expansive reception areas and two bedroom suites are linked by elevated walkways to two hidden forest suites continuing to a very private spa and treatment centre.

The Malabar Lodge at the Trogon House

The Malabar Lodge consists of the main house with the master bedroom and one twin bedroom plus two separate suites, accessible via walkways. A maximum of 8 guests can be accommodated at the Malabar Lodge.

The Tomba Lodge at the Trogon House

A maximum of 8 guests can be accommodated at the Tomba Lodge.

Accommodation:
  • 1 Family Suite (2 x double beds) with en-suite bathroom and bath / shower
  • 2 Suites (king size beds) with en-suite bathroom with shower
  • All rooms have under floor heating

Dining

The breakfast at the Trogon House & Forest Spa is included in the room rate and served as per guests' requests. The lunch and dinner are optional and can be provided by the Lodge according to guest requirements.

On request, the personal chef at the Trogon House prepares lunches & evening meals:

The Trogon House features an exclusive wellness centre, which is accessible to its guests. The warm fireplace, an exclusive sauna, spa treatments and private Jacuzzi are available.

The Forest Reserve

The Trogon House nestles in untouched indigenous forest, between the Keurbooms river and Natures Valley which marks the most scenic and unspoiled stretch of the Garden Route in South Africa. The unforgettable journey to the 5 star Trogon House & Forest Spa takes guests through an Elephant Sanctuary, past the Birds of Eden and Monkeyland reserves to enter a 1.4km pristine track winding beneath the trees under the Forest Canopy.

Deep in the Forest the track opens up to an elevated sun-drenched swimming pool deck high up in the canopy with spectacular views of Tsitsikamma forest. Being suspended on massive tree trunks, the lodge embraces the forest with glass walls and roofs, creating an unforgettable forest experience.

Elephant Sanctuary

Birds of Eden
